LEGAL

Service Providers and Subprocessors

The providers PingMyThing uses to operate, secure, support and administer the service.

Last updated: 26 July 2026

About this list

PingMyThing (“PMT”) uses selected third-party providers to operate, secure, support and administer the service.

A provider’s legal role depends on the service and data involved. Some providers act as subprocessors for customer personal data. Others may act as independent controllers, separate processors, communications providers, payment providers or infrastructure providers under their own terms.

This page is a transparency summary. It should be read with our Data Processing Addendum and Privacy Policy. If there is any conflict between this page and the Data Processing Addendum, the Data Processing Addendum takes precedence.

PMT keeps this list focused on provider identity, service role and the types of data involved. It does not list every internal configuration, product tier or operational setting. Configuration details are recorded internally and reviewed against PMT’s workload, data-minimisation model, resilience needs and customer commitments.

Current providers

MongoDB Atlas

Service: Managed application database service and provider-managed database backup capability.

Processing and location information: PMT uses MongoDB Atlas to store PMT service records, including account, project, token-related, configuration and signal records required to operate the service. PMT records the selected Atlas region and relevant backup configuration internally.

MongoDB Atlas is not used as a customer document store, log archive, compliance archive or bulk telemetry store. Customers should not send passwords, secrets, raw logs, payment data, patient/client records, transaction data or other sensitive payloads as signal content.

Backup and restore capabilities depend on the configured Atlas deployment tier and provider-supported features. PMT reviews the database tier and backup posture as usage, resilience requirements and customer commitments evolve.

Hetzner

Service: VPS and application hosting where used.

Processing and location information: PMT records the relevant product location and configuration internally. VPS snapshots or backups are separate from MongoDB Atlas database backups. Hetzner may process hosting-related metadata, logs and support information under its own terms and configured service settings.

Cloudflare

Service: Edge, proxy, DNS and security services where enabled.

Processing and location information: Cloudflare may process edge request data, IP addresses, DNS information, security events and other request metadata as part of providing edge, proxy and security services. PMT does not claim a specific Cloudflare log-retention period. Cloudflare processing, subprocessors, transfers and retention are governed by Cloudflare’s applicable terms and configured service settings.

Fasthosts

Service: Public website hosting and PMT mailbox/support-email hosting.

Processing and location information: Fasthosts hosts the public website and PMT mailbox/support-email services in the United Kingdom where configured. Other provider processing, support access, subprocessors, logs, backups and retention are governed by Fasthosts’ applicable terms and configured service settings.

Fasthosts does not host the PMT API runtime or application-generated outbound transactional email.

Mailjet / Sinch

Service: Application-generated outbound transactional and account email.

Processing and location information: PMT uses Mailjet / Sinch to send application-generated emails, such as account, signup, token, notification or service-related messages where enabled.

PMT limits email payloads to the information needed to send and trace the relevant message. Provider-side processing, logs, backups, retention, subprocessors and transfers are governed by Mailjet / Sinch terms, safeguards and configured service settings.

Mailjet / Sinch does not host the PMT inbound/support mailbox.

Zoho Desk

Service: Support and helpdesk tooling under Positive Developments’ support-service setup.

Processing and location information: Zoho Desk is used for support handling where PMT support is provided through Positive Developments’ support-service setup.

The relevant Positive-linked Zoho account is evidenced as hosted in Zoho’s Europe data centre. This does not mean that all Zoho services, support access, subprocessors, resilience copies or transfers are EU-only. Zoho processing, subprocessors, support routes, transfers and retention are governed by Zoho’s applicable terms and configured service settings.

The account is held under Positive Developments, not PMT.

Lemon Squeezy

Service: Checkout, payment and subscription services.

Processing and location information: Lemon Squeezy processes checkout, subscription, customer, payment, tax, invoice and webhook information under its applicable terms, privacy policy and data processing terms.

Lemon Squeezy’s precise role may differ according to the processing activity. For example, it may act independently for some payment, tax, fraud-prevention, compliance or accounting-related processing.

PMT does not receive or store full payment-card details.

Positive Developments (SI) Ltd

Service: Authorised support, helpdesk and approved technical administration.

Processing and location information: Positive Developments (SI) Ltd provides authorised support, helpdesk and approved technical administration for PMT.

Support and administration may be performed from Solomon Islands or another recorded operator location. Access is subject to confidentiality obligations, individual attribution, least-privilege access, ticket-backed material actions, audit logging and applicable international-transfer safeguards.

Positive Developments acts as processor to PMT for PMT-controller support records and as an authorised support provider / subprocessor where customer personal data is processed on PMT’s behalf.

Routine access to customer personal data is permitted only after the applicable transfer and access safeguards have been completed.

Retired provider

GreenGeeks is historical and retired from the current version 1 processing position. It is not PMT’s current mailbox host or live application-generated outbound email provider.

Changes and objections

PMT may update this list when a provider is added or replaced, or when a provider’s role materially changes.

Where required by the Data Processing Addendum or applicable law, PMT will take reasonable steps to notify affected customers before a new subprocessor begins processing customer personal data and will handle reasonable data-protection-based objections under the Data Processing Addendum.

Questions or objections concerning a provider may be sent to info@pingmything.com.
