Enough to judge whether the path is useful.
Step 1 — choose one useful question.
Good first questions are specific:
- Did last night's backup succeed?
- How much disk space is left?
- Did the sync complete?
- Is this remote station still reporting?
The smaller the first question, the easier it is to judge whether PMT helps.
Step 2 — use a starter check or your own result.
Use a PMT starter check where one already fits.
Or send from your own script, application, job, website or device.
Send it. Confirm it. See it.
You do not need to define every future station or check before the first one works.
STEP 3 — SEND THE RESULT

That is enough to send a usable result.
STEP 4 — LOOK FOR accepted
When PMT returns accepted, the insert has been acknowledged under PMT's configured MongoDB write concern.
That confirms PMT accepted the reading under its storage contract. It does not independently verify the source's claim or provide exactly-once semantics.
STEP 5 — SEE THE RESULT
Open the webapp and look for the station and check you just sent.
You have now proved that a result you care about can travel from the source to somewhere useful.
Do not configure scale before you have value.
Naming conventions, project structure, token lifecycle, profile sharing and fleet governance may matter later.
They are not prerequisites to testing one result.

A successful PMT trial is not:
I configured lots of monitoring.
It is:
I sent one result I care about, I saw it where I needed it, and that was useful.
One useful result is enough for the first decision.
Do not build the fleet yet. Prove the path.
Then decide whether PMT has earned the next check.
